American burger joints are common in Taipei City, but if you’re into vintage Harley-Davidson vibes, you’ll definitely fall for the laid-back atmosphere of EN Burger tucked away in an East District alley. Beyond that, EN Burger also offers the internet-famous, juice-oozing “Angel Burger” and the tender, juicy “Rosemary Burger,” all showcasing the owner’s dedication and deep-rooted passion for America.

“Classics are what make a place special.”This is how the bearded owner, Liang Zunqian, opened up to us at the start.Liang Zunqian has very clear ideas and firm principles about his shop and its menu. He continued, “I’m not after fleeting popularity—I want customers to remember a feeling when they come to EN Burger.” As for the bold design and decor, he explained that this environment wasn’t the result of “pre-planning.” His casual-yet-careful attitude has helped EN Burger build a unique reputation in the East District over the past five years.

Regarding ingredients, Liang Zunqian said his philosophy is simple: “Maybe it’s not perfect, but we only do what’s right.” For example, the burger patties are ground in-house just to ensure freshness and preserve the authentic flavor of the beef. The signature “Angel Burger” features an egg that bursts with juiciness—a special design for Taiwanese who love eggs. The golden sunnyside-up yolk is drizzled with cheddar cheese, while the beef shoulder patty is juicy, hearty, full of beef aroma, and lightly seasoned with pepper.

Additionally, the “Rosemary Chicken Burger” uses marinated boneless chicken thigh cutlets, grilled and then pan-seared, made to order with lettuce, cheese, and either whole wheat or milk bread—it’s equally tender and juicy without being overly salty. The “Mexican Beef Crisp Taco” combines ground beef with cheese, red and yellow bell peppers, served with mashed potatoes, beef sauce, and salsa, featuring a crispy taco shell that complements the beef with a subtly sweet flavor.
