Over 40 hectares of vibrant colors stretching out before your eyes — the Qiaotou Flower Sea is simply stunning

The Qiaotou “Flower Field Delights” flower sea opens this weekend to welcome visitors. Now in its 7th year, the Qiaotou “Flower Field Delights” series of events has planted over 40 hectares of flowers across the area, including cosmos, zinnias, sunflowers, and marigolds. These colorful blooms are arranged into five themed giant floral tapestries.

A sea of blossoms unfolds before your eyes, with many visitors exclaiming how beautiful it is. In addition to the main flower sea area, a 1,200-meter-long sunflower field has been planted along Provincial Highway 1 from Rainbow Bridge to the McDonald’s on Qiaoxin 6th Road. Along the way, you’ll find various installations, and many people take advantage of the weekend to cycle through the flower fields or fly all kinds of kites — a truly relaxing experience. The flower viewing period will continue until December 8, so be sure to plan a visit. Thanks to the efforts of Qiaotou District, the flower sea has successfully attracted tens of thousands of visitors, with last year’s total reaching 600,000.

During the event period, the organizers also provide free shuttle bus services from Exit 2 of Kaohsiung MRT Qiaotou Station to make flower viewing more convenient. Local shops around the area have also launched a variety of special offers to complement the event. After enjoying the floral beauty of Qiaotou, you can also take a tour of the old sugar refinery to relive the glory days of Qiaotou’s sugar industry.
