The "Taiwan Village Culture Festival" launched yesterday (30th) at the National Father Memorial Hall, where six long-established stores from central Taiwan built the "Lohas Academy Demonstration Campus" around three main themes: old store revitalization, heritage industry culture, and art appreciation. By sharing hands-on DIY experiences on-site, the event highlights the unique charm of local Taiwanese businesses. Huang Li-hui, CEO of the Seeing Taiwan Foundation, noted that traditional local culture must transform its essence into economic value to survive in the long term. The six featured brands at this cultural festival are all local exemplars that combine hands-on creativity with tourism.

"Enabling businesses to offer experiential workshops not only transforms cultural richness into economic value but also extends visitor stays, deepening their emotional bond with the land," said Huang Li-hui. Currently, multiple travel agencies in central Taiwan have partnered with heritage businesses to successfully introduce foreign tourists to the island’s local culture through diverse experience formats. These efforts promote central Taiwan’s distinctive elements and innovative experiential marketing overseas. By integrating resources, businesses and stores collaborate to shape varied Taiwan travel offerings, boosting visibility and giving traditional industries a chance to shine on the global stage.
