2 hectares of new flower fields planted in Zhiben, Taitung – Zhiben Hot Spring Festival kicks off

The Zhiben Hot Spring Festival has officially launched, themed “Zhiben Hot Springs: A Resurgence of Glory.” This year, under the planning of the Taitung County Farmers’ Association, a vast 2-hectare flower field has been planted just 200 meters from the entrance of the Dongyouji Hot Spring Resort in the Zhiben Hot Spring area, aiming to create a fresh highlight for this century-old hot spring destination.

In addition, the Zhiben Hot Spring area has introduced a new “Explore Aromatic Herbs in the Mountains” experience tour, taking visitors on an off-road ATV adventure through the scenic Zhiben Le Mountain. The route passes through the tranquil Le Mountain Forest Road, the nostalgic Le Mountain Elementary School, and a refreshing herbal garden, offering guests a unique taste of Zhiben’s charm.

Zhang Tianrong, chairman of the Zhiben Hot Spring Tourism Development Promotion Association, noted that this year’s Zhiben Hot Springs have taken on a completely new look. Especially with the addition of the flower field event organized by the Taitung County Farmers’ Association, the once-exclusive grand floral displays typically seen only in areas like Hualien’s Huadong and Guanshan can now be enjoyed in Zhiben. Local hotel businesses have also joined in the celebration, offering a stamp-collecting treasure hunt event. By collecting eight stamps, visitors can instantly enter a lucky draw to win prizes such as hotel stay vouchers, hot spring bath coupons, and various local gifts—ensuring both fun and rewards.

The 2013 Taitung Zhiben Hot Spring Festival and Zhiben Flower Field activities will run until January 29th of next year. Below are the special offers from various hot spring hotels:
