Charter an Entire Plane & Luxuriate Overnight at a Dutch Airport

Many people have spent the night on a plane, and "tossing and turning with no good sleep" is likely a shared experience. At the Teuge Airport in the Netherlands, a retired aircraft has been transformed into a luxury suite. The 40-meter-long space is equipped with a bathtub, steam room, three flat-screen TVs, and more, ensuring guests can have fun and enjoy a restful night.

In addition to bathing facilities, the luxury plane suite also includes a DVD player, mini-bar, and guests can even head to the cockpit for some “role-play,” pretending to be pilots and flight attendants for fun. If that’s not enough, the operator also offers a series of flight experiences, such as helicopter tours, paragliding, and courses to pilot specially modified planes — all bookable.

This aircraft, named the “Ilyushin 18,” was built in 1960 and originally served as a diplomatic transport for the German government. After retirement, it was once converted into a restaurant before being acquired by Hotelsuites in 2007 and turned into a luxury suite priced at £300 per night.
