Singapore Airlines unveils new SilverKris Lounge in Sydney, offering laksa in a “homey” setting

Singapore Airlines has officially unveiled its newly redesigned SilverKris Lounge at Sydney Airport, as part of its recent global upgrade initiative for airport lounges.
The new-concept SilverKris Lounge was designed by architecture and interior design firm ONG&ONG, integrating thoughtful “home-inspired” elements.
Singapore Airlines plans to invest SGD 100 million over the next five years to gradually roll out the new-concept SilverKris Lounges across 15 cities globally. The next phase includes upgrades to lounges in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore Changi Airport (Terminal 3) by 2014.

The newly designed “home” concept SilverKris Lounge spaces are all inspired by the idea of “home.” In addition to leisure areas, a kitchen, dining space, and personalized relaxation zones, there are also specially designed business pods. All SilverKris Lounges will also gradually offer signature Singaporean dishes such as laksa and mee siam, allowing travelers to unwind while enjoying authentic local flavors.
