The 2014 Taiwan Lantern Festival will kick off at 7 p.m. on February 14 in Nantou, and the small shaped lantern — "Super Cute Horse" — was also unveiled on January 3.Lin Jiawei, the designer of the Super Cute Horse, said that as the festival is being held in the scenic area of Nantou, elements such as blue skies, white clouds, and rainbows were specially incorporated into the design.

Additionally, Lin Jiawei mentioned that as the lantern festival coincides with Valentine’s Day 2014 — “2014, Love You Forever” — heart elements were also added to the design.The biggest highlight of this Super Cute Horse is its specially designed limbs that can swing back and forth. Once fixed, children can hold onto them and take the lantern for a walk, allowing for more interaction between the lantern and the child. The organizers stated that the eye-catching cute horse lanterns are expected to be distributed starting February 13.
