The cherry blossom season at Wuling Farm kicks off on February 12th — daily entry limits apply for travelers from Taipei and Yilan to Lishan

The annual cherry blossom season at Wuling Farm is here again. Nestled in an area of distinct seasons and breathtaking scenery, this year’s cherry blossom season will run fromFebruary 12 to 24. To enhance visitors’ blossom-viewing experience, Wuling Farm has collaborated with the Yilan County Government, Taichung City Government, and the Shan Shan National Scenic Area Administration to launch four major control measures.

The Wuling cherry blossom season, which often sees tickets sell out within seconds, is no exception this year—campsite bookings are already in a waiting list queue. To maintain the quality of the blossom viewing experience, Wuling Farm announced on the 9th that during the cherry blossom season, it will implement four major traffic and crowd management measures: “on-site visitor volume control, group reservation entry, road traffic regulation, and public transport shuttle services.” Additionally, aside from day-trippers using the public shuttle service, all overnight guests and pre-registered group visitors must hold a permit to enter Wuling Farm.

Wuling Farm stated that during the cherry blossom season, there will be a daily visitor cap of 6,000 people on-site, including 1,800 overnight guests and 4,200 day-trippers. Of the day-trippers, 1,000 will be allocated to “group tickets” (approximately 35 buses), and 3,200 will be “day-trippers using public transport.” Group visitors wishing to enter must first register via thegroup reservation system platformprovided by the Yilan County Government, with online reservations opening on January 12.

For those who didn’t secure accommodation or camping spots at the farm, or whose group size doesn’t meet the required number, don’t be discouraged. Wuling Farm has arranged six cherry blossom shuttle bus routes, with limited ticket availability per day from February 12 to 24 as follows.

Taipei area:Two routes from “Taipei Main Station West” and “Taipei City Hall Bus Station,” each with a daily limit of 1,000 people.

Yilan area:“Yilan Bus Station” with 400 people daily, and “Sanxing Township” and “Datong Township” with 300 people each per day. Round-trip fare is NT$730 (half-price NT$485). Pre-sales begin on January 27 at all Kuo-Kuang Bus ticket windows nationwide and at three major convenience store chains (7-11, FamilyMart, Hi-Life).

Lishan Visitor Center:Daily limit of 200 people. Ticket package (bus ride + entrance fee) is NT$330 (half-price NT$164). Tickets are sold between 6–8 PM the evening prior for the following day only (e.g., to visit on February 14, purchase at the visitor center after 6 PM on February 13—but other dates cannot be purchased). Each person may buy up to six tickets. Ticket sales period: February 11 to 23.

During the cherry blossom season, all roads surrounding Wuling Farm will be under round-the-clock, high-intensity traffic control. Vehicles without permits are prohibited from entering, and even pre-booked group buses must obtain special passes to pass through.
