Alishan Turns into a "Pink Ocean" – Cherry Blossom Viewing Open 24/7 During Lunar New Year

When it comes to breathtaking cherry blossom views, how can you miss Alishan? Right now, Alishan has entered its peak cherry blossom season, transforming into a sea of pink that is simply stunning. The Forestry Bureau announced on the 13th,the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area will remain open 24 hours a day during the Lunar New Year and will also provide free shuttle services..

Aside from being home to one of Taiwan’s Eight Scenic Wonders – the Sea of Clouds – and the “Five Wonders of Alishan,” the area’s absolutely gorgeous cherry blossoms are also a must-see attraction. Now that Alishan’s cherry blossoms have entered their full bloom,the Forestry Bureau will set up temporary parking spaces along the road and establish 10 shuttle bus stops between kilometers 86 and 95 of Alishan Highway from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from the 31st to February 4th, offering free shuttle bus services.Additionally, 200 parking spaces will be available outside the recreation area entrance, providing free motorcycle parking.

The Forestry Bureau also recommends another great destination for the Lunar New Year.The Ao-Kuei Wetlands Forest Parknot only allows visitors to go cycling but also offers a chance to see the “Three Treasures of the Park” – the black-winged stilt, the black-faced spoonbill, and the common greenshank. The Dongshi Nature Exhibition Hall and the Sea View Tower will also welcome visitors from the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.
