Savor delicious food and enjoy sea views — Sydney’s open-air cinema screens hit films for 34 nights

The “St. George Openair Cinema” in Sydney Harbour kicked off on January 10, planning to showcase must-see summer hits and the best art films of 2013 over 34 nights. Visitors can first dine on delicious food and drinks at harborside restaurants, enjoy sea views, sights of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and more, all while soaking in the relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. As night falls, the three-story-high screen rises slowly from the harbor, offering an unparalleled cinematic experience to the 1,900 audience members on-site.

This year, the opening film is “Dallas Buyers Club,” which received accolades at the Golden Globes, while other screenings include “The Wolf of Wall Street” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, “Her,” “Inside Llewyn Davis,” and more.
The annual open-air cinema is a popular local event. Since presale tickets have sold out, those interested in watching can purchase tickets on-site before February 15.
