According to the latest survey from a Japanese online travel site, South Korea has been the most popular destination this year for group female travel, with overall stays (number of guests multiplied by nights) increasing by 80%. Rakuten Travel’s booking site has released the “Women’s Group Travel Favorite Hotels Ranking” for this summer, focusing on the three hot destinations of Asia, Hawaii, and Guam. The featured hotels meet five key needs most valued by women traveling together: stylish interiors, stunning views, stress-relief facilities, convenient transportation, and proximity to shopping centers.

This year, Korea ranks highest in popularity, with the total number of female guests multiplied by their nights of stay showing an impressive 80% increase. The Hotel Skypark Kingstown Dongdaemun, a Korean hotel nicknamed for its “pink dreamy princess twin rooms” and its integration with a shopping mall, took the top spot. Located on the upper floors of Hyundai City Outlets in Dongdaemun, female travelers can easily head downstairs for shopping and then retreat upstairs for rest when tired. It’s also close to other shopping landmarks like Migliore, making it ideal for shopaholics.

Coming in second place for favorite women’s group hotel is the Loisir Hotel Seoul Myeongdong, situated in one of Seoul’s most vibrant and shopping-friendly districts, Myeongdong. Its biggest draw is convenience for shopping, as it sits just above top Korean cosmetic and skincare brands.
