North Korea missile tensions: Guam Tourism Authority releases video response

North Korea has recently made more provocative statements, casting a shadow of missile threats over Guam. Today (31st), the Guam Tourism Authority responded on its Facebook fan page with a video in which Governor Eddie Calvo of Guam stated that the exaggerated messages from North Korea are within the expected range of actions. He emphasized that the threat alert level in Guam has not been raised and that the island remains very safe, warmly inviting tourists from around the world to visit and experience the hospitality of the people of Guam.

The Guam Tourism Authority posted a 44-second video on its Facebook fan page, specially recorded by Governor Eddie Calvo to explain the current tourism situation in Guam. He stressed that while recent exaggerated statements from North Korea have caused public concern, such developments are anticipated, and he wanted to reassure global travelers of Guam’s safety.
