Stop the press！The 2017 South Korea fall foliage forecast has been released

Autumn foliage tours are popular, and the South Korean weather forecasting website Kweather has released the 2017 fall foliage prediction schedule. Due to potentially higher temperatures from September to October this year, the foliage viewing period is estimated to be delayed by about 1 to 3 days compared to previous years. Seoraksan is expected to see the earliest red leaves, with coloring beginning around September 27, and the full peak period likely to be around mid-October. Hallasan on Jeju Island is predicted to start turning red on October 17, with the peak period around the end of October.

Mt. Odaesan: Foliage begins coloring on October 1, peak period on October 17

Mt. Jirisan: Foliage begins coloring on October 7, peak period on October 22

Mt. Bukhansan: Foliage begins coloring on October 15, peak period on October 29

Mt. Waryongsan: Foliage begins coloring on October 13, peak period on October 25

Mt. Gyeryongsan: Foliage begins coloring on October 19, peak period on October 30

Mt. Palgongsan: Foliage begins coloring on October 18, peak period on October 28

Mt. Jirisan: Foliage begins coloring on October 11, peak period on October 24

Naejangsan: Foliage begins coloring on October 20, peak period on November 8

Mt. Mudeungsan: Foliage begins coloring on October 23, peak period on November 5
