Meanwhile, the world’s largest hot air balloon event, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in the United States, has officially kicked off this week, adding a new attraction to the local desert scenery.
The world’s largest hot air balloon event features over 500 balloons each year. This year’s theme is “Imagination,” showcasing a riot of colors and a variety of shapes. In addition to 500 traditional colorful balloons, there are nearly 100 uniquely shaped ones, such as characters from Star Wars, race car drivers, tropical animals, and Mexican mariachi musicians. The nine-day event includes dazzling hot air balloon light shows in the early morning and evening. This lively celebration is expected to draw one million visitors.
Additionally, following the recent global shock caused by the Las Vegas shooting incident, local police have strengthened security measures, conducting item-by-item checks and searches of belongings brought in by attendees to ensure the smooth running of the entire event.
