Been there? The world’s top 3 best resort islands are all in the Philippines

As autumn arrives with the wind, do you still miss the warmth of sunshine, blue seas, and skies? The latest World’s Best Islands list from the U.S. magazine Condé Nast Traveler has just been released, with the Philippines taking the top three most popular islands: Boracay, Cebu, and Palawan, earning the title of the world’s best resort islands. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Bali ranks 9th.

The U.S. magazine Condé Nast Traveler recently conducted its “2017 Readers’ Choice Awards” survey, where netizens voted for the 30 best islands outside the United States. The top three most popular resort islands were all won by the Philippines. Boracay, which took first place, is renowned for its pink-white sandy beaches, crystal-clear blue waters, and lively nightlife, and has claimed the top spot again this year.

Coming in second in popularity is Cebu, the most densely populated island in the Philippines, loved for its beautiful beaches, private spaces, as well as its many emerging restaurants and shopping spots. Palawan’s must-see attraction, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River in Saint Paul Mountain Cave, is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site and selected as one of the “New7Wonders of Nature,” but also once again brought the area’s stunning scenery to the international stage, securing third place on the list of the world’s best resort islands.

In addition, the top 10 best islands in the world are, in order: Mallorca (Spain), Mykonos (Greece), Bermuda (UK), St. Barts (France), Turks and Caicos (British Overseas Territory), Cayman Islands (UK).
