Blue Highway Launches New Spring Festival Promotions & Explores Taipei’s Past in Dadaocheng

Traveling around Taipei’s Dadaocheng via the “Blue Highway”? Now you can play and get rewarded too. On the 17th, the Taipei City Department of Transportation announced that to promote the domestic film *Dadaocheng* and highlight the heritage tours of the Blue Highway, visitors traveling during the Spring Festival will receive free movie tickets, and those presenting movie stubs when boarding can also enjoy discounted fares.

Wang Sheng-wei, Director of the Taipei City Department of Transportation, said at the press conference “See Dadaocheng, Explore Dadaocheng” that since last year, the Blue Highway has offered river cruise guided tours combined with walks among Dadaocheng’s historic sites, allowing every visitor to deeply experience the area’s former glory and culture. Moreover, “Dadaocheng” is not just a place name—it holds significant value in the historical development of Taipei City.

To coincide with the upcoming release of the domestic film *Dadaocheng*, as well as to promote the newly launched bilingual guided services and heritage cruise tours, Chang Hong Marine Transport, operator of the Blue Highway, stated that passengers traveling on the first day of the Lunar New Year will receive a free movie ticket to *Dadaocheng*—limited to the first 168 passengers. Additionally, those holding first-run cinema tickets for *Dadaocheng* can enjoy a discounted fare of NT$200 (original price NT$290) when boarding from the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year by presenting their movie stubs. After the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, movie ticket holders can still enjoy a discounted fare of NT$250. (News source: Central News Agency)
