Airline safety rating website AirlineRatings released its latest airline rankings on the 2nd, with Air New Zealand taking the crown as the world’s best airline for 2018—its fifth consecutive win. Qantas from Australia and Singapore Airlines came in second and third, respectively. Asian carriers such as All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong, and Korean Air also made the list.
The latest airline evaluation results from the Australian airline review website AirlineRatings.com have been released. Based on criteria such as safety, innovation, environmental responsibility, and staff service, Air New Zealand was named the Best Airline of 2018, marking its fifth straight year at the top. The rankings are as follows: Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Australia, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Japan Airlines.
In addition, Air New Zealand was also awarded the Best Premium Economy Airline, while Singapore Airlines was named both the Best First Class Airline and the Best Cabin Crew Airline. Virgin Australia claimed the Best Business Class Airline title for the second consecutive year, and Korean Air was selected as the Best Economy Class Airline.
