World’s youngest flight attendants: Elementary school students serve meals in modified cheongsams on board

The youngest flight attendants, elementary school students can also serve meals on board. A national airline shared aviation knowledge with local elementary school students from Zhuiwei and Xihai in Dayuan Township. To give the children from both schools a unique winter vacation memory, a special “Children’s Flight Attendant Experience Camp” was held on January 20 and 21, allowing the kids to explore the work of flight attendants through half-day sessions.

The “Children’s Flight Attendant Experience Camp” held at the China Airlines campus invited 20 students each from the first to fourth grades of Xihai and Zhuiwei elementary schools. Training began with graceful posture and etiquette to showcase the most dignified and proper standing positions and manners; they then learned how to welcome guests, guide seating, and distribute newspapers, magazines, pillows, and blankets. Finally, the boys put on flight attendant vests and ties, while the girls wore child-sized modified cheongsams to practice in-flight cabin service and meal service, creating an unforgettable winter vacation experience.

In addition, in line with the upcoming Lunar New Year, China Airlines Catering and the China Airlines Volunteer Society will visit the Dayuan Township Changqing Nursing Home and the Dayuan Nursing Home for a year-end community care event for seniors before January 22. China Airlines Catering thoughtfully provided festive meal gift boxes convenient for the elderly to enjoy, adding extra dishes to their holiday meals. The China Airlines Volunteer Society gifted each senior a three-piece seasonal gift set including a warm blanket, scarf, and gloves. Seven flight attendants who took personal leave to participate also specially practiced singing songs such as “Night Fragrant Flower,” “The Moon Represents My Heart,” and “Dark Dark Sky,” engaging happily with the seniors.
