Obama’s favorite burger restaurant is going to Taipei, opening in January next year

Originating from Hawaii, the American burger shop “KUA 'AINA BURGERS,” which is said to be a must-visit for U.S. President Obama when he’s in Hawaii, opened its first Taiwan branch in early 2016 at Mitsui Outlet Park. After more than a year, it’s finally coming to Taipei. The second Taiwan branch will be located on the fourth floor of Taipei XinYi Breeze Center, with an expected opening in January 2018. For those in Taipei who love KUA 'AINA burgers, you won’t need to go all the way to Linkou anymore.

KUA'AINA was founded in 1975 on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and opened its first store in Japan in November 1997 in Aoyama, Tokyo. It currently has 20 stores in Japan and 2 in Hawaii.KUA 5AINA’s burger patties are grilled over volcanic lava to enhance the flavor.And the seasoning for the burger uses a secret spice blend unique to founder Terry Thompson.The bacon mozzarella burger is a popular item in Japan, while the avocado burger is a favorite in Hawaii.
