ATTS Coffee, a self-roasting café near Banqiao’s Jiangzicui MRT Station, is about to celebrate its second anniversary. Regulars know it for its Japanese-style self-roasted coffee, but have you tried their signature dessert — the fruit pancake? It’s only available from 2–5 PM daily, so miss the window and you’ll miss out.

Fluffy pan-fried pancakes layered with vibrant fruits tower like Tokyo Skytree, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with honey — it’s an edible work of art you’ll hate to disturb. Apples, kiwis, grapes, guavas, cherries — all seasonal fresh fruits make an appearance. Uncle Coffee once even spotted wax apples in his serving.

Today, ATTS COFFEE is managed by the dependable Ito Dad, while the young and handsome Mr. Ito Atsushi handles the coffee bean sales business. After all, running a whole family of five on just a single café isn’t easy.

With strong support from Mr. Ito, a big fan of Taiwanese coffee, the “Alisan Project” actively promotes Alishan coffee from Taiwan. You can now find related products such as pour-over packs and coffee beans at places like Songshan Airport, Regent Taipei, and Good Cho’s, primarily targeting Japanese tourists visiting Taiwan.

ATTS COFFEE is only closed on Lunar New Year’s Day. On the morning of the second day of the New Year, from 10 AM to 9 PM, they’re back in service. Friends passing through Banqiao, don’t forget to stop by and wish the Ito family a happy new year~
