In this space converted from an old apartment, many retro details can still be found. Among them are items from the owner’s childhood, vintage furniture hunted down by the owner and manager Gary, and various collectibles from friends. The most eye-catching feature is probably the full wall of ceramic artworks, each piece created by the owner’s aunt, a ceramic artist. Even the various cups and plates used in the cafe were specially made and are one-of-a-kind pieces crafted for Ka Na Ta.

Beyond the ceramic works, the owner’s illustrator friend has turned their drawings into fabric prints, which were then hand-sewn into several animal-shaped stuffed toys, creating a whimsical corner in the cafe. This is not only a popular decor trend in Korean cafes but has also attracted many customers who want to customize these plush toys. Eventually, the owner had to place overseas orders so that fans could take them home. In truth, this cafe brings together the creations and care of many people, and when each visitor hears the stories behind the items, they’re sure to be touched as well.

Authentic Korean-style drinks that taste just as good overseas
So, what drinks should you order at a Korean cafe? According to the owner, the “Purple Sweet Potato Latte” is a must-have at every cafe in Seoul. It blends purple sweet potato with fresh milk, combining nutrition with deliciousness. The light purple hue adds a touch of romance, while the aroma is a delightful mix of sweet potato and creamy milk. One sip reveals a rich flavor that makes you reluctant to finish it too quickly.



There’s also the signature “Schisandra Soda,” made with homemade schisandra juice from the owner’s mother and freshly prepared soda water on-site. Schisandra juice is a very common health drink in Korea, and Ka Na Ta puts a modern twist on this traditional beverage by mixing it with soda water to make it more fashionable and vibrant in taste. The sweet-and-sour flavor is absolutely unforgettable. The downside? The owner’s mother only makes a limited quantity of schisandra juice each year, and once it sells out, customers will have to wait until next year. Aside from drinks, the cafe also features specially selected Korean music curated by the owner. Unlike the Korean pop that’s popular in Taiwan, the music here is truly perfect for sipping coffee and appreciating the creative touches.
