A-Mei says: A restaurant serving American and European-style international cuisine is perfect for cozy, communal meals~~ Chef Jun skillfully blends Western dishes with Chinese elements, and the approachable pricing fits right in with the idea of sharing food together.
Approachable international cuisine – Chef’s creativity sneaks Chinese elements into the dishes
Find a warm spot & enjoy a gathering centered around good food
The warm glow of pale yellow lighting spills through the alleys of Wenzhong Road as night falls, while the wooden interior and touches of greenery both inside and out, along with the casual graffiti-style walls, give this restaurant a Yami Yami~ vibe even before you dig in.
Here, Chef Jun serves up his own original Western-style dishes. Even common dishes like risotto, pasta, or chicken wings are elevated with his unique sauces, and he cleverly incorporates Chinese elements. Notably, Tasty Kitchen also participated in the Kaohsiung Beer Festival’s side dish competition this year, creating “Herb Cream Cheese Fish Cakes” using the event’s designated tuna and swordfish — the only Western dish among the finalists, which was even invited to appear on the TV show “National Team to the Rescue” for the finals. Of course, this dish has also been added to Tasty Kitchen’s regular menu.

When you dine here, you’ll notice the menu is designed for sharing. From salads and appetizers to mains, everything encourages communal eating rather than individual set meals. Chef Jun says that sharing is at the heart of Tasty Kitchen — just like how European families pass dishes around the table to share, making meals more warm and personal.

%And when you come here for dinner, you’ll find another unique dining vibe, which is also great for couples or friends looking for a lively meal.

【4-Person Sharing Menu $1359】Includes: Bread basket, 1 salad, 2 small sides, Mexican quesadilla, 2 main dishes
%Enjoy a blend of bread, salads, and flavorful small plates

Buttery garlic bread roasted to perfection, served with a rustic garden salad. But this salad isn’t just greens — it also includes squid, shrimp, and clams. Topped with a kumquat vinaigrette, it’s refreshing and appetite-whetting.

%Side Combo 2: Chicken & Pork Skewers, Attack of the Chicken Wings, Fish & Cheese Bites (4-person set includes 2 small sides; this section introduces an extra dish for your reference)
Chicken & Pork Skewers (6 pcs): Chicken breast wrapped with bacon and pork, stuffed with basil. At first glance, you might worry about toughness, but one bite reveals an unexpectedly tender texture.

Squeeze some lemon for a fresh kick, or dip it in the Thai red curry sauce provided on the side — one small side, many ways to enjoy.

Attack of the Chicken Wings (8 pcs per bucket): Don’t expect the typical New Orleans-style wings from American diners. These have a Taiwanese-style “three-cup” flavor, though not entirely. The skin is crispy and fragrant, yet not dry, and the marinade has fully penetrated the meat.

Try it with a squeeze of lemon first, then dip into the accompanying sauce.

Fish & Cheese Bites: This creative dish is a must-try here. Made with swordfish, tuna, ground pork, veggies, and cream cheese, these fried fish cakes were also part of the 2017 Kaohsiung Beer Festival and appeared on the “National Team to the Rescue” TV show finals.

With a thin crust, these bites reveal a gooey, cheesy interior. Soft, savory, and salty, paired with a special sweet-and-sour kiwi sauce that cuts through the fried richness — even without drinks, they’re irresistible.

Mexican Quesadilla: Included in both 4-person and 6-person sharing menus, simply enjoy the rich melt of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.

Mains: British Queen Pizza, Garlic Seafood Spicy Fried Noodles, Mixed Meat Risotto (4-person set includes 2 mains; this section introduces an extra dish for your reference)
Garlic Seafood Spicy Fried Noodles: Stir-fried noodles with garlic are simply the best. Paired with the umami of clams and shrimp, and sautéed in olive oil, garlic, and chili, it’s a deliciously simple dish.

It’s like a Chinese-style fried noodle method applied to pasta — the seasoning gives it a whole new flavor profile.

Mixed Meat Risotto: Featuring chicken, bacon, and Italian sausage, the risotto sauce blends garlic and pesto flavors, with every ingredient and seasoning playing its role just right.

For those who love the aroma of basil pesto, the rice is also cooked to a softness that suits local tastes.

British Queen Pizza: Handmade crust, naturally. Mozzarella’s gentle aroma meets cheddar’s saltiness, atop a thin, doughy crust topped with cheese, ground beef, tomato, spinach, and black olives — the classic Margherita pizza.

The handmade dough has the perfect chew, and you can taste the aroma of flour and the slight char.

Bonus recommendation for à la carte dishes: German pork knuckle (must be reserved in advance to enjoy!)

This pork knuckle is no ordinary dish—it undergoes four meticulous steps combining Chinese and Western techniques: marinating, braising, deep-frying, and roasting. The labor-intensive process means reservations are essential. The skin is tender and succulent from slow cooking, while the unique marinade infuses a rich, savory flavor. With every bite, your mouth is filled with a delightful gelatinous texture.

Beyond the classic version, you should also try the traditional German way of enjoying pork knuckle—paired with mustard and pickled sauerkraut. Add a thick slice of the crispy pork skin for an incredibly satisfying bite!
