Thailand’s Ultra Photogenic “Golden Mangrove Forest” – A Hidden Green Wonderland in the Swamp

In Thailand, enjoying sea views and a relaxing holiday vibe isn’t limited to the islands. Located in eastern Rayong Province, you can admire the beautiful coastline and then step onto wooden walkways to immerse yourself in the vast “Golden Mangrove Forest.” Stretching as far as the eye can see, the yellowish-green water nymphs weave together to form an expansive aquatic grassland, creating the illusion of being in a green wonderland – a highly photogenic spot beloved by locals in Thailand.

This Golden Mangrove Forest was originally named “Tung Prong Thong,” spanning over 9.6 million square meters of swamp land densely planted with lush green water nymphs. Locals recommend visiting during early morning or dusk when the sunlight casts a golden hue on the emerald water nymphs, hence earning the nickname “Golden Mangrove Forest.”
