High demand for flights to Kaohsiung; Air Busan: Resumes flights between Hualien and Busan

Thanks to the influence of Korean dramas and successful promotion, the number of Korean tourists visiting Taiwan increased by 39% in 2013, with a remarkable 80% surge in September. Air Busan stated that apart from benefiting from the existing Taipei–Busan route, the newly launched Kaohsiung–Busan route has also performed exceptionally well.

Lee Kyung-min, General Manager of Air Busan’s Taipei Branch, pointed out that,Air Busan is currently evaluating the launch of a “Hualien–Busan” route,which would help Korean travelers plan itineraries combining eastern and northern Taiwan, and also serve as a major advantage for residents of eastern Taiwan wishing to travel.

Additionally, Air Busan will hold a second wave of promotional campaigns in July this year. The airline plans to offer early-bird deals of NT$2,499 round-trip from Taipei to Busan and NT$2,999 round-trip from Kaohsiung to Busan for bookings made between the 1st and 20th of each month. It will also introduce promotions such as a two-country tour of Busan and Fukuoka, and flight-and-hotel packages from Busan starting at NT$6,666.

Furthermore, Air Busan will enable flight booking and ticketing via mobile app this year, and plans to collaborate with Taiwan High-Speed Rail to offer passengers up to 30% discounts on train tickets. For more event details,please visit the Air Busan official website.
