Huge deal alert: Tigerair Taiwan and V Air to offer rock-bottom 0 and 1 TWD tickets starting September

Travel just got more affordable! V Air, a budget airline under China Airlines subsidiary FLYR, and Tigerair Taiwan, a joint venture between China Airlines, Singapore-based Tigerair, and other partners, will officially launch in September and November 1 respectively. Both low-cost carriers will soon roll out ultra-cheap 0 and 1 TWD tickets for customers to snag.

Tigerair Taiwan currently plans its first wave of routes to include Tokyo, Narita, or Osaka in Japan, with round-trip fares expected to be under 6,000 TWD. There will also be 1 TWD ticket flash sales and early bird deals among other promotions. V Air’s inaugural flights are expected to focus on cities within a 5-hour flight radius.

Both airlines plan to use Taoyuan Airport as their hub and will gradually open routes to Asian destinations including Japan, Hong Kong & Macau, Singapore, as well as cross-strait cities. However, neither the 0 nor 1 TWD tickets include airport taxes, fuel surcharges, or checked baggage fees.

In its first year, V Air will operate 2 to 3 A320 narrow-body aircraft, each capable of carrying about 177–180 passengers. Meanwhile, Tigerair Taiwan will initially deploy 3 A320s, with plans to expand to 12 in the future.
