Lu Feng's "My Love from the Star" — "Little France Village" becomes a must-visit pilgrimage site for fans

"Have you watched the latest episode of My Love from the Star?" seems to have become the hottest topic of the moment. Mainland Chinese travel agencies, spotting the huge business opportunities brought by the drama, have designed themed tour routes based on the show. These routes have quickly become bestsellers, with "Little France Village" emerging as a must-visit destination for fans of the series.

According to mainland media reports, the Korean drama My Love from the Star has created an unprecedented craze in China, not only driving up sales of the "fried chicken and beer" combo favored by the female lead Cheon Song-yi and reviving the poultry market, but also inspiring more people to want to visit South Korea. Travel agency representatives in China said they received numerous inquiries even before launching Star-themed tour packages, with over 70% of the inquiries coming from women. "Everyone wants to get closer to 'Professor Do.'"

Among the specially curated Star-themed itineraries by Chinese travel agencies, one spot is absolutely essential:Little France Village— the picturesque foreign-style locale where the most romantic and iconic kiss between Do Min-joon and Cheon Song-yi takes place, located in Gapyeong County at the border of Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces.

The "Little France Village" cultural park, themed around the fairy tale The Little Prince, isn’t very large — the entire area consists of only about 16 French countryside-style buildings. In Episode 15 of My Love from the Star, many scenes were filmed here. Even before that, this charming international village had already served as a filming location for popular Korean dramas such as Secret Garden and Beethoven Virus, as well as the hit variety show Running Man.

With its fame soaring again thanks to My Love from the Star, Little France Village has decided to extend its operating hours until 9 PM to allow visitors to enjoy the romantic night scenery reminiscent of the drama. Starting at 6:30 PM, there will be regular music box performances and other events. The nighttime opening is currently scheduled to run until the end of August this year. Fans eager to relive the romantic moments of Do Min-joon and Cheon Song-yi definitely shouldn’t miss it.
