TransAsia Airways is recruiting 80 "new and improved" flight attendants — applications now open

TransAsia Airways’ low-cost subsidiary, V Air, has announced plans to recruit 80 flight attendants. Applications are being accepted from now until March 14. In addition to basic educational and language requirements, TransAsia stated that as V Air’s operational model differs from traditional airlines, the selection process will focus on the company’s core values of being "newer, bolder, and more vibrant." The final selection rounds are scheduled for March 26 and April 2–3.

V Air’s recruitment process consists of three stages. The first stage involves a preliminary review of submitted written materials. Those who pass will advance to the second stage — the initial interview — on March 21. Finalists will then participate in the last round of selection on March 26, April 2, and April 3. It is reported that since the job opening was announced, the company website has seen a surge in traffic and phone inquiries have been non-stop.

TransAsia noted that V Air flight attendants are not just cabin crew but will also serve as key ambassadors for Taiwanese tourism, requiring enthusiasm and an infectious, friendly smile. According to TransAsia’s plans, V Air will initially operate three A320 and A321 aircraft on routes across Southeast and Northeast Asia. The airline’s corporate logo and future operational plans are expected to be unveiled in late March.

[Basic Eligibility Requirements for V Air Flight Attendants]
1. Graduation from a college or university recognized by the Ministry of Education, either domestic or international
2. Uncorrected visual acuity of at least 0.1 in both eyes
3. Proficiency in Mandarin, Hokkien, and English; priority will be given to applicants with skills in Korean, Japanese, or other foreign languages, familiarity with dialects from various regions of mainland China, or prior experience as a flight attendant
