As Christmas approaches, the festive atmosphere grows stronger. In addition to the dazzling Christmas trees set up in major department stores and popular attractions, many university campuses also go all out every year with festive decorations and Christmas trees to create a joyful and romantic holiday ambiance.

Fu Jen Catholic University

When it comes to university Christmas tree lightings, Fu Jen University always comes to mind. On the evening of December 4 at 5:30 pm, the university held its Christmas tree lighting ceremony in front of the Jingxin Hall. The school administration and students jointly kicked off this season of gratitude in grand style. This year’s theme is “The Joy of Life,” and there is a newly added nativity scene placed beside the Christmas tree and Christmas deer.

Chung Hua University lit up its over 8-meter-tall Christmas tree in front of the school gate on the evening of November 29, marking the beginning of a month-long Christmas Gratitude Month. This year's Christmas tree lighting event features a theme of blue and white lights representing winter. The towering Christmas tree at the university’s main gate plaza will remain lit until December 27.

Chang Jung Christian University

Chang Jung Christian University held a Thanksgiving prayer service for the tree lighting on the afternoon of November 30. This year’s lighting theme is “Light.” The surrounding decorations and lighting design were planned and produced with the help of students from the Digital Content Design Department and the Graduate Institute of Information and Design at the university. In addition to various other art installations, the university also hosted a Christmas decoration competition, further enriching the festive atmosphere on campus.

Chung Yuan Christian University held its Christmas tree lighting on November 30, decorating the main tree and overall campus layout with over 100,000 bulbs in yellow, white, and bright red hues. Upon entering the campus, you’ll see the three-story-tall main Christmas tree light right away — a popular spot for photos and check-ins at the end of each year.

Feng Chia University

Feng Chia University held a lighting ceremony on December 6 this year. Although the event ended earlier than scheduled due to poor weather conditions on the day of the lighting, a series of other charity performances and activities followed, accompanying everyone through a rich and warm Christmas month.
