Freeze prices, revamp menu, offer discounts: 5-star hotel buffet gives 1 free for every 4 diners on weekdays

Since March, many hotels in Taipei have raised buffet prices to reflect rising costs, but the Taipei Dynasty Hotel in the Dunhua business district has gone against the trend. Its atrium café on the first floor, which mainly offers buffets, has not only introduced a new menu featuring a Japanese style, but also providesa discount where one person eats free when four dine together on weekdays.

The Dynasty has launched a Japanese-style buffet under the concept of “Exquisite Japanese Cuisine”, complementing its existing sashimi and Japanese appetizers with additional dishes that highlight Japanese flavors, including grilled hot dishes, hot pot soups, and sukiyaki.

In addition to changing the menu, the hotel has also introduced a promotional offer giving one free meal for every four diners on weekdays (Monday to Friday) to attract customers. Ding Bowei, the hotel’s marketing and PR manager, stated that although raw material costs continue to rise, the hotel hopes to win over consumers with different menu options and group dining deals, using a volume-based pricing strategy to boost revenue.
