The purple blooms of "Happiness River" vie in splendor, weaving a romantic and enchanting scene

Sometimes, in the corners of the city, you can still find breathtakingly beautiful scenery. Along the "Happiness River" between Minzu Road and Linsen Road in Kaohsiung, the purple-flowered Lantana camara is blooming vibrantly, resembling cascades of purple flowers. Each round, full purple blossom sways gracefully as if dancing, transforming the "Happiness River" into a scene of happiness and romance.

The "Happiness River" is a small river located within Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, with a total length of approximately 5.3 kilometers. In contrast to the "No. 1 Canal" (Love River), the "Happiness River" was formerly known as the "No. 2 Canal." From September 2 to September 30, 2010, during the renovation and landscape engineering project, a naming campaign was held by the Kaohsiung City Government. Ultimately, "Happiness River" received the highest number of votes, leading to the No. 2 Canal being renamed as the Happiness River.
