Guam Promotes Localization with the Launch of "Chamorro Cultural Month"

Recognizing the decline of traditional culture, the Guam government has been committed in recent years to revitalizing local culture and the traditional Chamorro language. In addition to actively organizing related seminars, it has alsodesignated March as Chamorro Month,hoping that the month-long cultural activities will help local youth gain a deeper understanding of Guam’s history and culture, strengthen their identification with Chamorro culture and language, and ensure the continued inheritance of these gradually fading traditions.
