Boracay Island, Philippines — Surprise Appearance of a “Bikini Mermaid”?

On the 4-kilometer stretch of white sandy beach at Boracay Island, one of the world’s most famous tourist destinations, a “bikini mermaid” has made an unexpected appearance? And this mermaid was lying on the sand, wearing an alluring bikini on the upper half and swaying a fish tail on the lower half, instantly capturing the attention of all visitors.<>

“What’s that?” Visitors couldn’t help but exclaim at the sight of the mermaid, only to realize upon closer inspection that this is actually a new fun experience on Boracay Island. Though considered new, according to local guide Vincent, the mermaid activity has actually been around for about a year, aiming to offer visitors a novel experience. Visitors can transform into little mermaids of various colors, but it’s not just about taking photos on the beach like the girl in the photo.The Philippine Mermaid Swimming Academy also offers a full set of “mermaid courses,” teaching visitors how to swim, snorkel, and scuba dive in mermaid costumes, allowing them to experience what it’s like to be “a real mermaid.”

However,taking a beautiful mermaid photo on the beach requires a great deal of courage.Because as soon as you put on the mermaid tail, you instantly become the center of attention on the beach. Tourists from all over the world come up to take photos, and the mermaids find it hard to refuse. With the extremely tight mermaid tail, they can only sit, lie down, or recline — they can’t walk at all. The two mermaids became the most delicate sights on Boracay’s beach. 

Soon after, bursts of joyful laughter came from the shallows — it turned out another “male mermaid” had appeared. This isn’t the “little merman” in Copenhagen’s Churchill Park, but male visitors can also experience being a mermaid. Don’t worry — the mermaid skirt is very stretchy, so even guys can wear it, though it might feel a bit uncomfortable overall. But when you’re here to relax and have fun, that’s what matters. The appearance of the male mermaid also gave visitors on the western coast of Boracay a hilarious afternoon.
