March's white pomelo blossoms like snow—seize the chance to enjoy a flower-viewing run and soak in the "Beauty's Hot Spring" in Bali

March marks the season of pomelo blossoms, so the New Taipei City Agriculture Bureau, together with Bali’s hot spring operators, has introduced exclusive pomelo blossom meal sets and the "Pomelo Blossom Beauty’s Hot Spring." They are calling on the public to join running and hiking activities in Bali to admire the blossoms.

Belonging to the Rutaceae family, pomelo flowers are pure white and are the largest among all citrus varieties. When in bloom, they emit a rich floral fragrance, and when fully open, the trees are covered in white, resembling March snow. The blooming period mainly falls from late March to the Qingming Festival. In New Taipei City’s Bali District, pomelo cultivation covers an area of 215 hectares, accounting for about 60% of the city’s total production, with a significant concentration in two areas: Xilongyan and Qianqiankeng, totaling 120 hectares.

During the pomelo blossom season, the New Taipei City Government Agriculture Bureau has collaborated with local hot spring businesses in Bali and featured popular idol drama characters to launch the "Pomelo Blossom Beauty’s Hot Spring" and a limited-time "Pomelo-Scented Fried Chicken Set." Running and hiking events will be held on March 23 and 29, offering the public a chance to get close to the pomelo blossoms.

The "2014 Pomelo Blossom Season – Easy Go in Bali" event will feature running and hiking activities in Bali District. On March 23, a running event is planned from Bali Ferry Pier to Xilongyan, covering a round-trip distance of approximately 4.2 kilometers. On the 29th, a hiking activity will take place in Qianqiankeng, where participants can enjoy the mountain covered in pomelo blossoms and breathe in their enchanting fragrance.
