Hundreds of entertainers head to Taitung to spread love — Mandarin Airlines’ “Micro Love Flight” takes off in April

The “Love in April” gala, now in its sixth year, is being held this year not only in Kaohsiung but also in Taitung to support the city described as “Taiwan’s most under-resourced.” Mandarin Airlines has dispatched a “Micro Love Flight,” with hosts He Rong, Kelly, Peng Wen-zheng, and Chen Wei-ling dressing up as pilots and flight attendants to join hundreds of entertainers in hosting the event in Taitung. At the press conference, three exceptional high school girls who recently helped clean up an elderly person on the street were also invited to take part.

To encourage the spread of love and positive energy, Mandarin Airlines and a group of entertainers jointly launched the “Love in April, Mandarin Airlines Micro Love Flight.” Scheduled for April 11, the Micro Love Flight will deliver supplies and goodwill to remote areas of Taitung. The “Ark Navigates, Micro Love Era” Love in April gala will feature its signature performance by 100 entertainers in a chorus, along with special appearances by the “Micro Love Trio” — Ling Feng, Guo Zi-qian, and Song Shao-qing. Event chairman Huang Guo-lun has also written a song for the occasion, aiming to turn love into action rather than just a slogan.

In addition to the dozens of entertainers present at the press conference, the three heroic high school girls who helped clean up an elderly person on the street also attended. Yu Guan-wei shared that being able to do good deeds with classmates during high school had an unexpectedly strong impact. The students added that even small acts of kindness can contribute to spreading love. At the event, Huang Guo-lun asked the three girls for their autographs, saying they had become his idols.
