Visiting friends in Banqiao and looking for a café to hang out, a friend recommended 182 Lane Waffle Kitchen on Daren Street — a place without Li Da-ren — saying it’s quite unique. I heard they have many creative waffles, the place is pretty good, the prices aren’t high, and it’s quite suitable for chatting, so we thought, let’s give it a try, Up！


There’s an outdoor seating area and a waiting area set up outside.


While taking photos, I noticed the potted plants at the entrance of the shop and thought the display was a bit odd. It turns out these are used as number tags after ordering, and you can even choose your own. This idea is pretty nice — if not potted plants, they could use other designs too！


The style of the shop is rather minimalist, with some clever touches from the owner on the walls, along with some photos, books, and comics — the atmosphere is quite relaxed and doesn’t feel overly fancy or expensive.






The menu offers quite a variety, mainly featuring waffles, both sweet and savory, with many surprisingly unique flavors！ You can order à la carte or upgrade to a set meal. There are also many drink options — coffee, juices — lots to choose from. Later, I realized the food here actually looks much better than it does on the menu — haha！




The prices of the meals are all quite affordable.








Sea Salt Coffee

When your lips touch the slightly salty foam, the salt actually enhances the sweetness, paired with the slightly bitter coffee, making for a uniquely flavorful experience.


Almond Au Lait (hot almond milk)

With a faint almond aroma, this drink should be a hit with almond lovers.




Angel Wings (Chocolate Banana) Waffle

Chocolate and banana are common stars in many desserts. Our favorite way to enjoy it is by mixing chocolate ice cream and whipped cream, spreading it on the waffle, then topping it with a slice of banana！ It’s really indulgent — any girlfriends coming here will definitely squeal with delight！


The waffle looks thick but is incredibly soft and chewy — it’s seriously satisfying to eat.


Strawberry Waffle

This is a strawberry waffle that’s super popular with girls！ The waffle is dusted with white icing and topped with bright red berries — the look is incredibly tempting. Add in sweet white condensed milk, red strawberry sauce, and cool vanilla ice cream — just looking at it makes your mouth water.

Q-grilled pasta box

This is a savory item — a thick slice of toast is hollowed out, filled with Italian pasta, then baked with cheese until Q (chewy), served with a generous side of shredded lettuce.


It’s kind of an Italian-style grilled dish mixed with Taiwanese coffin bread technique — a Taiwan-Italy fusion！ The texture is great！ The flavor is pretty good too, and it can be enjoyed as a proper meal. If you’re with friends, you can order a few to share, trying different flavors while still feeling full！！

The Ice-Fire Cube Waffle has arrived, hehe — you could also call this a volcano eruption！！


Smoked cheese sauce pours down like lava.


Hehe, didn’t expect there to be a ball of vanilla ice cream hidden inside the waffle too. No wonder the warm waffle paired with ice cream is called the Ice-Fire Cube Waffle. And there are also slices of German sausage inside — the texture is really rich！！ The visual impact is amazing too. If you added some liquor on top and lit it, hehe, it would be even more spectacular！！


182 Lane Waffle Kitchen is indeed pretty special. Truly a waffle specialist — their homemade waffle mix is definitely better and more awesome than the pre-made mixes used in regular cafés！！ It doesn’t lose out to the famous cafés in Taipei either！
