Launching a Beach Cleanup on Gupoyu Island: Penghu National Scenic Area Administration Hopes Visitors Will Help Protect the Coastline

On the 24th, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration mobilized its own staff, contracted cleaning companies, and residents of Chijiu Community, totaling more than 50 people, to carry out a coastal environmental cleanup on Gupoyu Island, helping to maintain a clean and clear coastal landscape.

The Penghu National Scenic Area Administration stated that since 2008, it has continuously invited various units to jointly organize environmental tidying efforts around scenic spots and adjacent key beaches. Through these promotional activities, the administration hopes to advocate for environmental education and foster consensus among all sectors in implementing marine ecological conservation, working together to maintain a beautiful coastal environment. The administration also calls on visitors to help create a fresh, clean, and visitor-friendly tourism environment in Penghu.
