AirAsia, which had originally planned to launch direct flights between Taipei and Kalibo in Long Beach in mid-April, announced the suspension of the route just days before departure. As many passengers had already purchased tickets and booked hotels, the news sparked widespread discussion among travelers.

Regarding the flight cancellations, AirAsia explained that the decision was due to flight scheduling issues. Under the newly announced refund policy, the airline will provide full refunds for tickets, visas, and hotel accommodations (visa and accommodation receipts required), and will also assist passengers in transferring to other airlines’ flights to Kalibo or Taipei on their originally scheduled departure dates.
