Do you have a “dream of France” you’ve always wanted to fulfill? The French Institute in Taiwan has announced the launch of the “Travel to France Program” selection. As long as your plan relates to culture, environmental protection, sports, democracy, or innovation, and you hope to realize it in France before the end of 2018, while also being willing to share your experience with the French Institute in Taiwan, you can take part in the competition. The winner will receive a round-trip ticket from Taipei to France to help make their dream come true.

The French Institute in Taiwan stated that participants must hold Taiwanese citizenship and be at least 18 years old. The application should focus on five main themes (culture, environmental protection, sports, democracy, or innovation), written in either Chinese or English. It must include a 600-word travel plan to France, explain whether the applicant has been to France before, and describe how the plan will be carried out. Applications must be submitted via email to the designated inbox before July 2.

The selection criteria will be based on the originality, feasibility, clarity, and potential of the plans. A panel of relevant experts invited by the French Institute in Taiwan, the Alliance Française, and Atout France on the theme will evaluate the submissions, and one plan will be chosen. The winner will be announced and awarded at the National Day reception on July 14. Participants should note that the travel plan to France must be completed by the end of 2018, with a stay in France of more than 7 days.
