The "Jewelry Box Duo Afternoon Tea" features an array of eye-catching desserts, including pistachio scones, Marché chocolate cake, violet tarts, passion fruit nun puff pastries, and strawberry éclairs. Zeng Haiqi, Senior PR Manager at Le Méridien Taipei, explained that this afternoon tea primarily uses animal and vintage motifs, breaking away from the traditional dreamy style of afternoon tea. Instead, it presents a playful, fashionable, yet elegant form that better reflects the essence of luxury spring-summer collections.

Among the most eye-catching desserts is one modeled after a new handbag from Marché’s spring fashion collection. The elegant bag design is miniaturized, with its classic upside-down V-shaped silhouette crafted from fondant on the outside, while the interior features 70% cacao Guanaja chocolate baked to deliver a slightly bitter flavor, creating a rich interplay of sweet and bitter in every bite.

Another highlight is the violet tart inspired by ladybugs, adorned with the popular spring-summer motif of ladybugs nestled among flowers. The petal-shaped pieces made from 53% Nibbia chocolate and golden ladybugs are coated with marinated cherries. Its bold purple color not only adds vibrancy but also an air of mystery.
