Extra trains ease holiday travel rush; Taiwan Railways opens sales for Dragon Boat Festival holiday tickets on May 16

To meet passenger needs during the 103rd Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Taiwan Railways will run a total of 176 extra train services across all lines from Friday, May 30 to Tuesday, June 3 — a five-day span. This includes 110 services on the Eastern Line (including the South-Link Line): 63 Tze-Chiang Limited Express, 22 Chu-Kuang Express, and 25 Fu-Hsing and local trains. On the Western Line, there will be 66 services: 30 Tze-Chiang Limited Express, 20 Chu-Kuang Express, and 16 local trains. Tickets for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday will go on sale at midnight on Friday, May 16, available via online and telephone booking systems, and can be purchased for travel up to and including June 3.
