Carrying a wish in my heart, I arrived at the mountain town of Pingxi, full of timeless charm.

Stepping into this destination ranked among the world’s top ten must-visit places in a lifetime, I felt an overwhelming sense of excitement.

Strolling along the wall reliefs and sleeper wood pathways at the station felt like listening to the stories of the town’s glorious past when it thrived on mining.

This deeply traditional old town exudes an unspoken sense of the weight of time...

Walking through Pingxi’s quaint streets and alleys, the strong nostalgic vibe gives one the feeling of returning to an early rural settlement. The distant sounds of chirping insects and birds make you forget the hustle and bustle of the city.

Gazing at the large mailbox in front of the post office, counting the decaying air-raid shelters on the Guanyin Rock wall, all serve to revive the century-old vicissitudes sealed within the town.

Staring up at the countless wish lanterns in the starry night sky, they seem to tell the world that this is a place filled with love.

Pingxi Mountain Town is a place that lingers in my heart and dreams.
