The Hawaii Tourism Authority stated that this “Hawaii Dreamy Indulgence Mission” has shown the enthusiasm and longing Taiwanese netizens have for traveling to Hawaii.May,a reporter, went to great lengths — hiking mountains, diving into the sea, and even trying paragliding — just to get an exclusive story. Determined to fulfill her dream of a honeymoon in Hawaii despite her upcoming wedding, she did all the research and has already planned to take a helicopter tour around the island. She also plans to spend half a day dragging her newlywed husband to learn how to surf and look cool.

Hawaii Tourism Authority Taiwan Representative Hsu Cheng-chang stated that in the past, the number of Taiwanese tourists visiting Hawaii was only seven to eight thousand per year, but last year it grew to twenty-five thousand. This year, they hope to increase that number to fifty thousand. In addition to targeting newlyweds on their honeymoons to revive Hawaii’s romantic image, they will also leverage their world-class PGA golf courses to launch themed travel packages such as golf trips to attract consumers. For travelers who prefer flexible itineraries, they will also promote self-drive tours.
