How much would you be willing to pay to stay in a room with just a small lamp, a bed, and even—shaped like a pipe? Unlike many hotels that have set base rates, Germany’s pipe hotel“DAS PARK Hotel”doesn’t specify prices. Guests can simply leave whatever amount they feel is fair when they check out.

Pipe hotels abroad have been around for years and are often compared to Japan’s “capsule hotels,” but staying in a pipe hotel feels more like camping in nature. The space is also more spacious than a capsule room, and there's no need to pitch a tent yourself. Just bring some clothes and your toiletries, and you can easily stay in the embrace of nature.

Designed with the concept of connecting with nature, the “DAS PARK Hotel” features large, pipe-shaped rooms placed throughout a park surrounded by greenery. Each unit weighs about 9 tons, stands 2 meters high, and is 2.6 meters long. The interior includes a double bed, storage space, and a power outlet. Other amenities such as restrooms, dining areas, and a bar are located elsewhere on foot. Additionally, since toiletries aren’t provided in the bathrooms, guests must bring their own.
