Regal Princess Officially Joins Princess Cruises Fleet – First Mediterranean Voyage in June

Princess Cruises announced on June 4 that the Regal Princess has officially joined the global fleet of Princess Cruises and will embark on its maiden global voyage from Venice in June 2014, taking guests on a panoramic journey across the Mediterranean.

According to Princess Cruises, the Regal Princess is the sister ship of the Royal Princess. This summer, the Regal Princess, with a passenger capacity of 3,560, will initially offer two different full Mediterranean itineraries. Its seven-day maiden global voyage will visit Corfu, Mykonos, and include an overnight stay in Istanbul, allowing guests to experience the diverse charm of the Mediterranean. In November, the ship will hold its North American maiden voyage and naming ceremony, while also beginning voyages in the Eastern Caribbean.

Jan Swartz, President of Princess Cruises, stated that with the addition of the Regal Princess, the Princess Cruises fleet has now expanded to 18 ships. The Regal Princess boasts a magnificent and spacious luxury atrium, a variety of dining options, the Lotus Spa, and exclusive features such as the Skywalkers Aerial Walkway, offering passengers a wealth of experiences to enjoy.
