Work at the Water Church where Fish Leong shot her MV — Hoshino Resorts offers jobs with a ¥200,000 starting salary

With a century-long history and 32 hot spring hotels and resorts under its management, Hoshino Resorts recognizes the outstanding work abilities of Taiwanese and has come to Taiwan specifically to recruit full-time staff. The first to recruit in Taiwan is the Tomamu Resort in Hokkaido, while RISONARE Tomamu Ohara and NIRAKANAI Iriomote are recruiting in Taiwan for the second time. A total of 20 to 30 employees are expected to be hired,with a starting salary of ¥200,000 per person(approximately NT$57,000).

Hoshino Resorts is a well-known hotel group in Japan, operating 32 resorts and hotels under various brand styles such as RISONARE, Hoshinoya, and Kai. Among them, the"Water Church", which gained widespread public recognition for being the filming location of Fish Leong’s song “Admire” and for hosting the wedding of Su Hui-chen, is located within the Tomamu Resort in Hokkaido. The Tomamu Resort also features the Ice Chapel, a ski resort, and stunning sea of clouds — all of which contributed to attracting 24,470 Taiwanese visitors during the 2013 winter season.

Meanwhile, Ohara Island boasts the largest coral reef system in the Northern Hemisphere and breathtaking seascapes, while Iriomote Island is home to pristine mangrove forests and virgin woodlands. The Iriomote wild cat, a species unique to Japan, is also the island's most iconic creature. Both destinations are highly popular holiday spots.

Daisuke Sato, General Manager of the Tomamu Resort in Hokkaido, stated that there are currently two Taiwanese employees working at the Tomamu Resort in Hokkaido, and a total of 17 Taiwanese employees working at RISONARE Ohara and NIRAKANAI Iriomote, all of whom have received high praise from the group. Therefore, they hope to recruit more Taiwanese staff this time.

Sato believes that Hoshino Resorts adopts a horizontal management approach, treating all employees as "teammates in a football team," placing greater emphasis on individual capabilities compared to traditional vertical management. Therefore, in this recruitment drive in Taiwan,in addition to Japanese language proficiency, candidates are also required to be enthusiastic about serving guests, creative, capable of problem-solving, adaptable to change, and possess a strong sense of teamwork. There are no restrictions on work background or age,with a starting salary of ¥200,000, and those hired are expected to officially start work in October this year.

Tang Gui-zhen, CEO of Rolisa Tour, the Taiwan general agent for Hoshino Resorts, said that Hoshino Group has already held a recruitment briefing at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages in Kaohsiung on June 4. They will also reach out to universities such as Soochow University, National Culture University, and Tamkang University to encourage students to explore overseas job opportunities.

Tang revealed that Hoshino Group places great importance on grassroots training. Even students without prior work experience can receive comprehensive training from the group in Japan.
