A white "Doraemon"? No, actually his name is "Toranomon"

Huh? Isn't this Doraemon (Doranomon)? But there's something a little different—he's all white except for a few black stripes, and he has these cool ears that Doraemon doesn’t have. Could he be Doraemon’s brother? Actually, no. This is the mascot of Tokyo’s newly built mixed-use complex "Toranomon Hills," named "Toranomon." With such an adorable mascot, it’s sure to attract large crowds when Toranomon Hills officially opens tomorrow (the 11th).

The new mixed-use complex "Toranomon Hills" in Tokyo, developed by Japanese real estate giant Mori Building Co., has recently been completed and is scheduled to officially open tomorrow (the 11th). Toranomon Hills is a 52-story, 247-meter-tall supertall skyscraper and mixed-use building, expected to become one of Tokyo’s new landmarks. In addition to office and residential spaces, floors 47 to 52 will house Andaz Tokyo, a hotel under Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

And the Doraemon-like "Toranomon" is actually, like Doraemon, a robotic cat (business type) from the 22nd century, symbolizing a commitment to exploring the future together with everyone. Of course, given how much he resembles Doraemon, it’s easy to guess that he was designed by the Fujiko F. Fujio Production company.
