Sean Lien Visits Hong Kong to Promote Taipei and Independent Travel, Chen Wenqi Appointed as Image Ambassador

Taipei Mayor Sean Lien visited Hong Kong on the evening of the 10th to participate in a tourism and travel exhibition, promote independent travel in Taipei, introduce tourist attractions to market Taipei’s tourism industry, and invited veteran media personality Chen Wenqi to serve as an image ambassador. Chen will recommend off-the-beaten-path attractions, with the goal of attracting more Hong Kong residents to visit Taiwan for tourism.

Lien stated that the purpose of this visit to Hong Kong is to showcase Taipei as a tourism destination. The trip is scheduled to last 48 hours, with his return to Taiwan on the 12th. To attract tourists from Hong Kong and Macau to Taipei, Lien will attend a “Fun Taipei, By My Way” press conference hosted by the Taipei City Government at the Hong Kong Kwang Hwa Information and Culture Centre on the 11th to promote independent travel packages. Before returning to Taiwan on the 12th, he will also visit the Hong Kong MTR system to gather insights for reference in the safety operations of the Taipei Metro.
