There’s no hotter topic right now than the World Cup that kicked off earlier this morning. The UK news site *Daily Mail* reported today that two Italian photographers, Edoardo Delille and Gabriele Galimberti, traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil two months ago and captured a wealth of scenes showing how Brazilians are gearing up for the tournament — such as people on the beach sunbathing en masse against a backdrop of the Brazilian flag, and even kids striking all kinds of soccer-playing poses, making it both fun and highly newsworthy.

The first goal of this year’s World Cup actually set a historic record as an own goal — and even more interestingly, it was scored by Brazil.
