“Freeze Land” Opens – Experience the “Thrill of Freezing” at Minus 18 Degrees

Fed up with the scorching sun and temperatures that climb over 30 degrees? How about taking a plunge into a world at minus 18 degrees? “Freeze Land,” built by ice sculptors from Harbin, debuted on June 24. The attraction includes a ski slope exceeding 40 meters in length, giving visitors the rush of speed combined with extreme cold. There’s also a bowling lane crafted from ice bricks, table hockey, and a large pinball machine — you can work up a sweat without a care. And if minus 18 degrees isn’t thrilling enough, head to the ice cream shop to experience what it’s like to eat ice in a frozen wonderland.

With temperatures inside dropping as low as minus 18 degrees, those sensitive to the cold are advised to bring or rent insulated coats, along with gloves, hats, and scarves.

Ticket information: Regular ticket NT$280, concession ticket NT$250 (for university students and below, upon presentation of valid ID), special discount ticket NT$140 (for seniors aged 65+, people with disabilities, and one accompanying person, upon presentation of valid ID), children under 3 years old enter free (must be accompanied by an adult; those without ID will be judged by height of 90 cm)
