ShuGuo, a vegetarian brand established by the Wang Group in 2010, pioneered the first wave of vegetarian dining trends. On December 1, ShuGuo will unveil its new concept store “SUFOOD,” targeting busy office workers with irregular eating habits and young people eager to try new things. The average per-customer spending is expected to be around NT$400–450.

The first SUFOOD store is located on a prominent corner storefront along Fuxing North Road in Taipei, just a five-minute walk from Nanjing Fuxing MRT Station. With about 70 seats, the space features a versatile seating arrangement and an overall interior design that creates a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. SUFOOD also authentically replicates the takeout windows commonly seen in European street settings, offering freshly made takeaway meals to cater to the dining needs of nearby office workers.

Qiu Binyi, associate manager of SUFOOD, said that in metropolitan business districts, the store offers meal designs suitable for quick pick-up by office workers, such as takeout salads, fresh vegetable juices, and hot-pressed sandwiches, making vegetarian food more convenient. SUFOOD emphasizes a culinary philosophy centered on seasonal ingredients and enjoying all four seasons, featuring popular items among young people such as hot-pressed sandwiches, fresh vegetable juices, pasta and risotto, appetizers, and desserts and drinks—offering a total of 70 menu items across lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
